Ranch Camp

Round ‘em Up!  Circle K’s Ranch Camp programs are the most exciting equestrian programs around!  With so many options to choose from, you’ll have no problem finding the summer ranch camp that will give you memories to last a lifetime!

Ranch Camp
Ages 10-16
Sessions 1,2,3,4,5,6,7
(co-ed sessions: 3,4,5)
$590
Ranch camp is an exciting week for riders of all abilities.  Whether you’re just starting out, or you’ve been riding for years, Circle K Ranch will teach you new, fun things about horses. Ranch campers spend most of the day at the barn and with the horses.  Each day, campers will take horseback riding lessons, go for trail rides, groom, tack, and take care of their own horse. Other horse lessons may include topics such as horse first aid, bathing, lunging, barn management and more!  When campers leave the barn, they experience all of the other highlights of camp, including; canoeing, climbing, swimming, archery, arts & crafts, campfires, big games, and so much more!

Ranch Adventures
Ages 10-14

Sessions: 3A: June 29 - July 1
3B: July 1-3
$250

Ranch Adventures is a condensed week of horses and fun.  Campers in the Ranch Adventures program stay at our outpost site with the horses, cook over the fire, and sleep in covered wagons.  Two nights and three days are spent trail riding all over Camp Kern’s 525 acres. Other activities may include; swimming, climbing, canoeing, archery, campfires, and more!

Trail Adventures
Ages 13-16
Session 8 (co-ed)
$575

Campers MUST be intermediate to advanced riders!

Trail Adventures is an incredible experience for our older and more experienced ranch campers. Trail Adventures campers will spend the week camping out with their horses at our outpost site and at other camping locations. Campers will cook over the fire, sleep in covered wagons and under the stars, and trail ride around and through Camp Kern’s property and beyond.

*Trail Adventure campers must be able to walk, trot, and canter confidently to attend.

Advanced Ranch Camp
Ages 12-16
Session 4 (co-ed)
$625

This program is for advanced riders only.

Advanced Ranch Camp will refine campers riding skills and teach them more thorough lessons in horse care and barn management.  Riding will include walk, trot, and canter exercises, as well as jumping, dressage work, and intermediate trail rides. Other horse lessons will be given by equine professionals, including; meeting the farrier, vet, barn manager, and others!

This week will be challenging, but will also be tons of fun as Advanced Ranchers will get the opportunity to camp out with their horses, and participate in some of our adventure activities such as the vertical maze, zipline, and mine shaft. Campers will also enjoy traditional camp activities such as swimming, climbing, canoeing, and more!

Boots & Bits is a day program to introduce younger campers to our horse program. Campers will spend 5 days at the barn learning the basics of: safety around horses, grooming, tacking, leading, tying, and general horse care. Campers will also ride each day in lessons and on trail rides. When the Boots & Bits campers leave the barn, they will enjoy other camp activities such as; canoeing, climbing, archery, arts & crafts, and swimming.
