Centennial Campaign Projects

YMCA Camp Kern’s mission: It is the mission of YMCA Camp Kern to provide a safe, fun, magical and educational experience for all guests and children through the demonstration of the four core values and practicing a "Kids and Guests first" philosophy.

Make a pledge to the 100th Capital Campaign

Campaign Goals:
(To date 2.8 Million dollars has been raised!)
Phase One: 3.1 Million Dollars
Phase Two Goal: 1.24 Million Dollars

The 100th Projects:

1. 100 Acre Farm Purchase
1.15 million dollar Purchase of the 100 acre farm. Protection from development allows for lake and wetland expansion.
Remaining: 400K

2. Sugar woods sleeping cabin
Two 24 person retreat cabins, with common room, kitchens and meeting space.
Remaining: 20K in equipment

3. Wilderness Village project
Eight cabins and a pavilion building built in place of the Adirondack cabin village next to the pine high course.
Remaining: 5 cabins 70K each and Pavilion Equipment, 25K

4. Brisben Village Renovation
Renovation of Brisben Center in to a tree house high adventure village. Construction of five tree house cabins.
Remaining: Four Tree House cabins 43K each

5. Elk Lodge Addition
Addition of a 25 person sleeping wing and bathroom to elevate Elk lodge sleeping capacity from 75 to 100.
Remaining: $220K

6. Singerman Lodge Addition
Increase capacity of the dining hall to fit another 100 people and add an outdoor patio dining area overlooking the Little Miami River valley. Remaining: $420K

7. Imagination Center
New arts and crafts center and a leadership year round program space.
Remaining: 290K

8. Elk Lodge Courtyard
Beatification of the courtyard area created between wings of Elk Lodge. Serve a break out space and patio dining and meetings. Shaped as a horseshoe tying back to the theme of the horses which surrounds Elk Lodge.
Remaining: 20K

9. Ranch bathroom and sewage connection to Main Camp
Taking Elk lodge and connecting to camp sewage system. Plus, installing actual bathroom at the barns on Ranch Road.
Remaining: 80K

10. Staff Housing Duplex
Replacement and expansion of staff housing capabilities. Would house six staff members.
Remaining 150K

11. VIP Housing unit
Expansion of teacher housing accommodations and visiting guests.
Remaining: 150K

12. Camp Kern Endowment fund
Endowment fund for future support of Kern operations and scholarship programs.
Remaining 200K

13. Elk Lake Expansion
The addition of 7 acres of water and an island for camper overnights. Would allow Camp Kern to expand its waterfront offerings to include water skiing, wake boarding, sailing and more.
Remaining: 420K
