YMCA Camp Kern offers a variety of opportunities for Girl Scout and Boy Scouts to earn badges, learn new skills, and just have fun. From horseback riding to camp and nature programs to high adventure, kern always has something new and fun for your troop to explore.

Camp Kern has worked with many troops to organize Eagle Scout projects, group camp-outs, and merit badge earning activities. Also, Camp Kern currently colaborates with Camp Butterworth to offer an add-on horseback riding component to thier summer camp program.

Wilderness Survival Campout
Come test your skills at YMCA Camp Kern. Learn the skills necessary to survive in the wilderness and then test those skills in a n overnight scenario. Spend the night in a shelter you build, start a fire, signal for help, and navigate your way to safety. Many of the skills you will learn can help you earn your wilderness survival merit badge!
