Outdoor Character Education
- Traditional residential outdoor education with a character development focus
- Activities include: Natural History and Science, Pioneer Ohio, Team Building and Camp Activities (e.g.: Campfire, canoeing, archery, etc.)
- An emphasis can be placed current Ohio academic content standards specific to your grade level.
Teacher Friendly Option
- Same as the Traditional Program except the curriculum is modified so that the school teachers do not need to lead any of the activities.
School of Outdoor Discovery, Day Camp
- A single day program at your school or at Camp Kern, designed to fit your specific curriculum needs.
Winter Challenge Camp
- Teambuilding and learning during the best time of the year. Challenges include orienteering, survival skills, our “Quest for Fire” activity, nature in winter, and plenty more.
Project GREEN river monitoring trips
- Classes take a canoe or raft trip down the little Miami River. Testing the water’s chemistry and biological diversity along the way, students are able to determine the condition of our watershed.
