As we enter our 99th consecutive summer of camping programs, YMCA Camp Kern is proud to be accredited by the American Camp Association. Developed exclusively for camps, this nationally recognized association focuses on program quality and health and safety issues. ACA requires us to review every facet of our operation. Camp Kern has voluntarily submitted to this independent appraisal done by camp experts and has earned its mark of distinction.
Summer Camp Staff
Our college age leaders are kids at heart who have been carefully selected and trained for the important role they play in your child’s life. YMCA Camp Kern also prides itself on recruiting outstanding international staff from countries like Australia, England, New Zealand, Scotland, Germany, and Ireland. Each Staff member goes through mandatory staff training.
