Science Camp Add-On
Ages 9-13

Spend each morning testing the very laws of nature and then enjoy the rest of the day doing our regular main camp activities.  Build experiment, and e-mail your findings home.  We’ll cram as much fun and science into each morning as we can.  Experiment with rockets, catapults, human pendulums, and whatever else we can get a hold of.

Kern's Kitchen
Ages 9-13

Have you ever wanted to learn to cook? This is your chance! Get behind-the- scenes of Kern's kitchen, learn the basics of cooking and food preparation, and go on a field trip to a local restaurant and watch the professionals. On the last day, you're in charge of cooking for all your fellow campers at Camp Kern! Four mornings of delicious activity.

Boat Building Add-on
Ages 9-13

Help build a wooden boat that will be part of Camp Kern's lakefront for years to come. Campers will spend four mornings helping in the building process. Tool and shop safety will be emphasized during this hands-on-learning experience.

Kids vs Wild
Ages 9-13

If you want to experience nature first hand, this is your program! Oustide, intense, and in nature's face, this program will be led by veteran outdoor educators for 4 mornings. Do you have what it takes to survive... and even thrive in the wilderness?

Broadcasting Add-On
Ages 9-13

Spend four mornings learning about the world of broadcasting.  Check out the behind the scenes action of Camp Kern’s very own 1600 WKRN radio station, and create your very own radio show.

Entrepreneur
Ages 9-13

Hone your skills in the board room. Design, market, and promote your own business. Work with a team to negotiate, maneuver, and learn the ins and outs of commerce.

Trail Ride Option
Ages 9-14

Explorer and Adventure Only
Get a taste of Camp Kern’s Circle K Ranch!  Campers can sign up for a 1 hour trail ride and see Camp Kern’s Beautiful Trails on Horseback.
