Circle K Ranch Camp Counselor
Must be at least 18 years of age and a high school graduate

Lives in a dormitory style building with campers and assumes responsibility for leadership and guidance of campers.  Leads or assists in leading instructional equestrian and camping skill sessions.  Is responsible for interpreting the rules, policies, and traditions of Camp Kern to campers.  Must have a “Kids First” vision and place the camper’s safety and camp experience first.  Is responsible for motivating camper participation in camp programs, cabin activities, and meals.  Must encourage a fun, positive, and safe environment within the parameters of the YMCA mission.  Relates and works well with kids ages 10-16.  Must also have horse experience. 

Weekly wage: ranges from $290 room and board
