Teen Counselor
Must be at least 18 years of age and a high school graduate

Lives at the Brisben site with campers and assumes responsibility for leadership and guidance of the teens and high adventure program. Leads or assists in camping skills including high ropes, the climbing wall, canoe trips, outdoor cooking, and other skills. Is responsible for interpreting the rules, policies, and traditions of Camp Kern to campers. Must have a "Kids First" vision and place the camper's safety and camp experience first. Is responsible for motivating camper participation in camp programs, cabin activities, and meals. Must encourage a fun, positive, and safe environment within the parameters of the YMCA mission. Relates and works well with kids ages 13-16.

Weekly wage: $190 plus room and board
