Kern Challenge Ages 13-16	Sessions 1, 3, 5, & 7 $535
This newly redesigned program is designed for the camper who has a spirit for adventure and is ready to take on new challenges. Test your camping skill and have fun in the process!

Ultimate Survivor Ages 11-14	Sessions 2 & 4 $535
Back by popular demand! Challenge yourself to a week of living in the outdoors while competing with and against friends. Living quarters will be rustic, challenges will be difficult and the opportunities to build character and meet new friends will be endless! At the end of each session we’ll name Kern’s Ultimate Character Survivor, who will receive a free week of camp in 2008.

Teen Survivor Ages 13-16	Session 6 $535
Teen Survivor is back! This is the ulitmate program to test yourself, make lifelong friends, and experience Camp Kern in a way you have never imagined! Challenges will be greater and Survivor will have a brand new home! What challenges await you? Who will be the Ultimate Teen Survivor 2009?!

Leaders in Training (LIT)
Ages 14-15

Sessions 2, 4 & 6

The LIT program fosters and develops group dynamics, problem solving, and the camping skills we look for in future staff members. While living in a rustic setting, campers participate in the main camp activities and programs while focusing on their leadership skills and program development. This training is a stepping stone for older campers who are interested in transitioning into future camp leaders, but still enjoy the magic of being a camper.

Rock and Raft
Ages 13-16

Session 5
$570

On this adventurous trip campers will travel to West Virginia’s New River for a white water rafting and rock climbing adventure. The adventure begins with a run down the Lower New River in duckies (inflatable two person rafts), followed by a wild ride down the Upper New River in a Guided Raft. After they hit the rapids, it’s time for some rappelling and rock climbing on the rock faces seen from the New River.
