At YMCA Camp Kern, we believe that all children should have the opportunity to laugh, grow, and thrive in the great outdoors—regardless of their family’s financial situation.
As part of the YMCA of Greater Dayton, we offer need-based financial assistance for camp programs, made possible through generous donations to our Annual Campaign and community partners like the United Way. Whether it’s overnight camp, day camp, or special programs, we’re here to help make camp affordable for every family.
Financial Assistance – Making Camp Possible
Our Financial Assistance Program is designed to make Camp Kern’s enriching experiences available to all families. This financial assistance program uses a sliding scale based on your income, household size, and any unique circumstances.
How to Apply
Register your camper online
Check “Interested in Financial Assistance”
Pay a reduced $25 deposit per week + $2 admin fee
Our team will email a Financial Assistance application
Submit it within 2 weeks with your supporting documents
Our team will follow up with your award amount and next steps
